To Kill a Mockingbird

To Kill a Mockingbird is a perfect example of a classic American novel. Harper Lee combines humor and life with a multitude of serious social issues that were abounding in the late 1930's (some of which are still very prevalent today). By focusing on major topics such as the Great Depression, racism, and rape, Lee creates a very authentic, very raw story that leaves any reader in an importantly reflective state.
